Chelsea have started the season inactively which is very unusual considering they have decent players in the team.
The Blues have lost 2-1 in the Champions League against Mourinho’s former club Porto, only three days after managing a point at Newcastle where they came from behind to draw 2-2.
Ahead of their clash against Southampton on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, Koeman decided to give his impression and hopes to get result against a struggling Chelsea team.
They didn’t receive a lot of goals but this season it’s different. Maybe for that the confidence is not the same. They showed their character last year.
However the Dutchman dismissed the fact that it would be an easy game, and said he is well aware of the threat that Chelsea can cause.
They have a very fast transition, you have to play compact and good counter-attacking football, and in all aspects have to be better than last year.We know we can have a good result if we play at our level because we had two draws against them last year, that belief we had last year we have to show again.
