Sport Witness are reporting that a Catalan newspaper called the Sport on Sunday believe that Spanish central midfielder Koke, is a target for Barcelona. However they also say that the current Liga BBVA champions face tough competition from the current Premier League champions, Chelsea.
It is believed that Koke is Jose Mourinho’s ‘ultimate’ signing and that he’s desperate to bring the Spaniard to Chelsea to link up with fellow compatriots Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, Cesar Azpilicueta and Diego Costa, a player who he used to play with at Atletico too. It would also see him be reunited with Thibaut Courtois.
Contact between Chelsea and Koke has already been made and providing Mourinho avoids the axe, an offer will be submitted for him. At the start of this week the club backed our manager and said they believe we are currently off form and believe Jose Mourinho is the correct person to turn our season around.
However the offer will have to be a strong one as it’s rumoured their are numerous clubs interested in Koke.
