Fabregas misses trip to face Manchester United

Fabregas has not travelled with the rest of the squad to Manchester Sunday due to a fever according to the Telegraph, leaving manager Hiddink with a mini injury crisis due to Costa being banned and Hazard, Remy and Falcao all facing late fitness tests.

Hiddink substituted Fabregas at half time during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Watford after another subdued performance, Hiddink explained it as a tactical switch with Mikel replacing the Spanish international.

Fabregas seems to be having a torrid time of late, no consistency on the pitch and rumours off the pitch of his run ins with Mourinho have led the fans to jeering the player when has left the field in the last two games.

Hopefully he picks up the form that led us to the title last year and helps us rescue this woeful season.
