Manchester United 0-0 Chelsea – Match Report

One of the biggest matchup’s in the Premier League calendar turned into 90 minutes of an absolute snooze fest, the game ended in a boring 0-0 draw with very little happening.

Chelsea played without a recognised striker and the substitutions really brought nothing more to the performance. Poor Loftus-Cheek, a very talented player managed to get only 2 minutes when we were crying out for someone like him at half time.

Man Utd created a few chances in the first half and hit the woodwork on 2 occasions, as most of the Chelsea defence looked on helplessly. Martial was Chelsea’s biggest problem and made us wonder why we pay Ivanovic to play football.

Terry managed to head a Willian corner on target at pace only for De Gea to pull off a wonder save to keep it out. But the best chance of the game for Chelsea fell to Matic, pretty much through on his own only to sky it over.

Courtois made a world class save in the second half shuffling himself across the line to block Ander Herrera’s close range shot, and Zouma made an important challenge to keep Martial from going 1-on-1.

The players looked exhausted at the end of the game which closed out a lethargic and tedious game. On the upside, no more football for Chelsea in 2015!
