Arsenal Chairman calls Costa a serial cheat

Diego Costa has always been the number one enemy of many rival players in the Premier League. However following the 1-0 victory over their biggest rival Arsenal, the Spanish player was branded as a serial cheat by the former Arsenal Charman Peter Hill-Wood.

Diego Costa scored the winner but was embroiled in a controversy and was the center of the sending off of Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker. Arsene Wenger, defended his player and slammed Costa for his action. Peter Hill-Wood, carried Arsene Wenger’s words, describing Costa as a “serial cheat”.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the following day of the defeat.

He’s a serial cheat and gets away with it. He deliberately ran into Mertesacker who hardly touched him.

Diego Costa seemed to have been badly injured and went on to score the winner later on in  the game. Peter Hill Wood added:

Yet Costa rolls around as if his legs have been cut off. Once the red card’s been shown, he’s suddenly perfectly alright again. That’s because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him. There certainly wasn’t soon after when he scored that goal. Personally I think the referee should have sent him off for diving. It’s very annoying because to me it is blatant.
