Bamford scores as loan move being considered

Patrick Bamford has put himself back in the shop window after bagging himself two goals in a behind closed doors game against QPR 21’s. The 22 year old is not allowed to appear competitively got Chelsea at any level if he is to secure a top flight loan for the second half of the season.

Swansea City and Bournemouth are among top flight clubs interested in the clinical striker. FIFA rules will only allow him to be eligible for two clubs in a season, so if he was to make an appearance for Chelsea during this window, he will no longer be able to leave the club.

Interim manager, Guus Hiddink has challenged last season’s Championship  player of the year to prove himself with the U21s, in which he replied with two superb finishes in the 5-0 win over QPR this afternoon.

He hardly played at Palace, so that’s why he has to prove himself. He has to make a step because he didn’t play so much over there. For the moment, he will stay with the U21s.
