Chelsea ready to raid PSG’s forward line

After another game where the Chelsea forwards stuttered rumours are hotting up with 2 possible January transfers, the blues looks like they could be close to landing two longtime targets, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edison Cavani.

A representative for PSG winger, Ezequiel Lavezzi has come out and said that Inter Milan are the most interested in his client but they are in talks with current Premier League champions: Chelsea. The Paris Saint Germain forward is out of contract at the end of the season, with clubs looking to get the talented winger at a cut price.

Inter are the most interest team at me moment. There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking to the Blues. I can’t rule him out him only leaving PSG at the end of the season though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.

Lavezzi and Cavani were both playing at Serie A side Napoli and the former even scored a goal against Chelsea in the side 3-1 victory against the eventual Champions League Winners in 2012.

Long time target Edison Cavani has been told he can leave PSG by Laurent Blanc. Cavani has been second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and has been forced to play out on the wing in a 433 formation. Blance has admitted the Cavani’s behaviour is a problem and he wouldn’t stop any potential move.

There is a problem with Cavani’s behaviour but my job is to think of the entire squad as a collective. We did hold a staff meeting and among the various issues we discussed were Cavani and his complaints.

The desires of the individual can’t affect the rest of the team. I believe that he can score here but I understand if he wants to consider other career opportunities.
