Half Time: Chelsea 1-0 Scunthorpe – Concentrate!

Chelsea are leading League One side Scunthorpe 1-0 at half-time in this FA Cup 3rd round clash at Stamford Bridge, following Diego Costa’s opener.

The Blues have played well, but you’d expect that when you see the side that’s been put out. However, there has been a moment or two when concentration in the defence has been lost, and half chances for the visitors were on the cards for the visitors, but Kurt Zouma, like always, was on hand to deal with the danger and get the ball clear.

Cesc Fabregas has had a wonderful first half, showing off his excellent range of passing and has been using the ball well. Willian has been good too, offering his services out wide.

Reflecting on the first 45 minutes, the Blues should have probably been more than 1-0 up at the break, Oscar could have buried his chance that he curved just wide after finding himself some space in the box.

In the second half, it’d be good to see some youth given a chance after we make this game more comfortable. Loftus-Cheek could potentially come on to replace Fabregas to give him a rest.
