Well, what a run it was. Chelsea won the Champions League and it’s fair to say that wasn’t supposed to happen.
Think about the set of games that the Blues were given after we progressed through the group. It got off to a bad start as we were thumped away from home against Napoli when both Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi bagged goals – we looked down and out. Well, under Andre Villas Boas anyway.
However, when we got through all the tough times, including that tough game against Benfica, we were matched with Barcelona in the semi-finals. At home, a strike from the man Didier Drogba gave us a lead heading into the second leg at the Nou Camp. I don’t think we need to talk about what happened from there.

It’s probably the best time to give this a watch, seeing as we’ve been so poor this season. Who knows, remember the time when we won the Champions League? We had a poor domestic season, but still crushed Tottenham’s hopes of playing amongst the best. Unlucky, lads!
