Vieira: Mourinho is a better coach than Wenger

Former Arsenal player Parick Vieira has hailed Jose Mourinho’s ethic and described him as one the best coach he has ever had.

The Frenchman spent almost 10 years as a Gunner, before eventually playing for Juventus and then Inter Milan for 4 years. Jose Mourinho guided the Nerazzurri to a treble, so success is no stranger to the Special One compared to Arsene Wenger.

Vieira was part earlier of the invincible Arsenal ear which went on to win the English Premier League without a single defeat in the whole season, but this didn’t prevent him to say that he has been most impressed by Mourinho than Arsene Wenger.

Jose. He’s the manager who had more influence on me. Arsene is more concentrated on his own team — he gives freedom to players to express themselves. It’s a different style.   Mourinho was the one who impressed me most on his work ethic.

He knew everything about the opposition, the strength, weakness. His detail was unbelievable – everything was so clear about what he wanted from each player. I don’t know what happened at Chelsea but he always got the best out of his players.

Arsenal currently sit 1st in the table and they will host Chelsea this afternoon at the Emirates.
