Di Marzio is tonight reporting that Antonio Conte will become the new manager of Chelsea in the next few days.
It has been widely reported that Conte flew to London today to have talks over the deal to become manager with Chelsea’s board and the talks between the two parties went extremely well.
Interim manager Guus Hiddink will remain in charge of Chelsea until the end of the season and Conte is set to take over at the start of next season after the European Championships in France this summer.
Chelsea were also said to be in talks with Simeone but it has emerged tonight that Chelsea have opted to go with Conte instead.
This summer Chelsea certainly need to rebuild the squad to get it back at the level of last season and the Italian has previous experience of rebuilding sides when he was in charge of Juventus. During his spell with Juventus Conte helped the club get back to dominating Italian football after failing to win the league in 9 previous attempts. While managing in Turin he lead Juventus to 3 back to back league titles and hopefully he can do the same at Chelsea!
