Beckham keen on Mourinho’s return to the Premier League

David Beckham won plenty of titles during his time at Manchester United and he believes the sacking of Jose Mourinho hasn’t died out the Portuguese’s reputation.

He would love to see the once so called “Special One” back in the Premier League, with Mourinho recently being linked with a move to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Speaking to TalkSport here is what the former United player had to say about the potential return of Mourinho:

Jose leaving Chelsea, who would have expected that after the season they had before? It doesn’t make him a mad manager. He is still one of  the best manager in the world and I hope he comes back soon.

The Premier League is the Premier League for the great players we bring in, the great teams, the money, the fans and the great characters that we have as managers. You want to see managers like that in the game.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson retired from the management job in 2013, Manchester United are yet to win a major trophy – which is a real concern for the club, Beckham admits.

When the manager left that was always going to be a massive thing, but you also lost players like Keaney, like Scholesy – and Giggsy has stopped playing. You have lost such great characters through the team. And David Gill stepped away from Manchester United. They are all integral parts of the club.

We have had so much success over the last twenty years that if we don’t win something for one season or two seasons people talk about it being a crisis.
