After an emphatic victory over Manchester City in the FA cup on Sunday, the Burkina Faso and Chelsea forward Betrand Traore remains confident despite Chelsea’s horrible start to the season.
The 20-year-old is the perfect example of a dreamer, as he has finally made a claim to the manager after bagging himself 3 goals in his last 3 appearances with each of the goals coming as the fifth in the game against MK Dons, Newcastle United and Manchester City.
It was not long ago when Mourinho still favored the prolific striker as a left-back, and played him there against Italian side Fiorentina in a friendly at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the horrendous season, Traore remains hopeful that the campaign will end with silverware under the interim manager Guus Hiddink, he told Chelsea TV:
Chelsea were the champions last season so of course we can win any competition.
We just have to push a little bit more and keep fighting for each other. I like challenges so I am always ready to come on the pitch and show what I can do so I always train for this kind of moments.
It is a privilege for me, coming from Africa as a young player and being coached by a great manager like Guus Hiddink so I am proud of that.
