Leicester City star refuses to rule out Chelsea move

Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante has refused to commit his future to the Foxes amid interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Italian giants Juventus.

One of many stars at the King Power stadium this season, Kante has hinted he could be ready to move on from the League leaders in the summer after just one season at the club.

Having signed for Leicester in a £5.6 million deal last summer from Ligue 2 side SM Caen, he has been an in integral part in their fairy tail rise to the top.

Speaking ahead of his side’s clash with Southampton on Sunday, Kante told Sky Sports:

I will fight for Leicester this season, next season we never know and we will see.

At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don’t mind about (the interest from) the other clubs.

The Frenchman, who scored on his first international start against Russia on Tuesday, has reportedly been a target for Chelsea as they look to rebuild their struggling squad.

However, he does, at least for now, remain focused on pulling off what would surely be the Premier League’s greatest ever shock:

It is unbelievable because we [Leicester] weren’t thinking about this at the start of the season. All things are good and we are happy.

We have to fight in every game. There are seven games left. We hope to win the league but it’s not finished.

The 25 year-old could be a replacement for midfielder Nemanja Matic, who’s form has been a mystery this season, or for John Obi Mikel who’s future at Stamford Bridge remains far from certain.
