Conte interested in signing young Napoli right-back

According to reports in Spain, Chelsea are interested in buying the young Albanian full back Elseid Hysaj.

When Chelsea were looking for a new left-back in July 2015, Hysaj was scouted by the Blues but ended up buying Rahman Baba instead, with Hysaj making a move from Empoli to Napoli for £4 million.

This time the incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is interested in the 22-year-old full-back as he’s the perfect type of player to play in Conte’s formation, supposedly 3-5-2 or 4-4-2, and can play on both sides like Cesar Azpilicueta.

It’s likely that Ivanovic will be used as a centre-back and Hysaj, another big and brave defender, is seen as the perfect replacement on the right side.

This season the Napoli defender has started every game in Serie A for Napoli, who are currently placed second with six points behind Juventus.

The Albanian has a contract with Napoli until June 2020, meaning he should cost around £15-20 million for the Blues.

There has been previous interest from Bayern Münich, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen to buy the young full-back as his performances in the EURO 2016 will be highly watched this summer.
