11/05/16 will be a day Tammy Abraham will never forget, as he made the step from youth to professional football after making his debut against Liverpool last night.
The 18 year old was giving the opportunity to impress the travelling Chelsea support as he was brought on for Bertrand Traore in the 72nd  minute and led the line with confidence in the latter stages of the game.
What a place to do it. It’s a great stadium and obviously it’s a great achievement to make my debut against Liverpool […] You have to deal with it as soon as you get on the pitch, you just have to block everything out and play your game.
Tammy has been prolific for the youth team this season; scoring 20 goals and providing 6 assists in 33 youth games and looks to make a further push into the first team.
‘Obviously making your debut is going to give you confidence to keep going, keep trying and see what you can do. Hopefully I can be more involved with the first team and play more games.’
Abraham is not against the possibility of a loan move next season but enjoys training with the first team squad as he’s learning a lot from the club’s world class players
Obviously going on loan would be a great experience but if I can have the opportunity to train with the first team every day it would be great for me […]Â Every day you get to train with them is another lesson so you have to take it on board, see what they do and take it into your game.
