Sunderland flop could end up at Chelsea

Football is currently in the process of silly season as players are linked with potential moves in the summer transfer window. The latest rumour is the potential arrival of one Conte’s favourite players: Emanuele Giaccherini.

The Italian flopped at Premier league club, but incoming first team coach Antonio Conte will look to give the former Sunderland midfielder a second chance in England. Many Italians questionned the inclusion of Giaccherini in Italy’s squad for this summers Euro’s but were quickly silenced after an impressive performance against Belgian where he bagged the opening goal in the 2-0 victory for the Azurri.

Giaccherini’s representative Furio Valcareggi spoke to SportItalia about his clients future:

Giaccherini is a player who played 80% of the games a Juventus that had Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio in midfield. Conte likes him a lot and Chelsea would be a dream. It’s still too early to talk about his future. After the Euros, whoever wants to buy him will not have to pay a high price to Sunderland

It will be interesting to see how this concludes, with many clubs after the 31-year-olds signature.
