Today’s transfer speculation has linked Chelsea full-back Baba Rahman to a Bundesliga return as Schalke 04 are reportedly planning a one-year loan spell for him.
Chelsea signed the Ghanaian from Augsburg for £21.7m last summer, but the 22-year-old suffered a tough season and is already looking for a move.

Baba is not to be blamed for the catastrophic campaign he had to experience as his debut season for the club, and it’s not a surprise that he’s keen to go back to Germany.
Antonio Conte is reportedly happy to let the player leave, and isn’t going to stand in his way to stop the move, as Chelsea youngster Ola Aina is making a breakthrough under the Italian manager.
It’s expected that unless Baba can make a huge impact at Schalke, he could be sold onward next summer, as Chelsea are surely looking for new full-back options should he leave before the transfer window closes.
