It wasn’t the best of starts for Conte at Chelsea but the squad will look to redeem themselves as they prepare to face WAC RZ Pellets on Wednesday in the Blues 2nd game of their pre-season tour of Austria & America.
The players are still adjusting to the high tempo style of Antonio Conte but will look to improve on their performance against Rapid Vienna after a 2-0 defeat to the Austrian club. Many were interested to see what formation Conte would deploy with in his first game, many though it was a 4-2-3-1 but after images were leaked, it turned out that it was 4-2-4 with Loftus-Cheek and Costa up front.
Chelsea will have added fire power for this game as new signing Michy Batshuayi cut his holiday short to prepare for the new season under Antonio Conte.
There has been a previous meeting between the two club which ended 1-1 in 2014 which saw a sublime individual effort from Jeremie Boga level the game and save Chelsea from a slightly embarrassing defeat. The game was also held at the Worthersee Stadion.
