Chelsea full-back Baba Rahman has today completed his loan move to Schalke 04 on a one-year deal, the club confirms.
Chelsea signed the Ghanaian from Augsburg for £21.7m last summer, but the 22-year-old failed to make an impression on his debut season for the club.
Baba Rahman completed his medical yesterday, also signing the contract with the Bundesliga side.
Baba Rahman spent three years in Germany prior to his Chelsea move, playing two seasons for Bundesliga 2 side Greuther Furth before playing his one and only campaign at Augsburg where he made 31 impressive appearances.
From the German top-flight team Baba made a move to Stamford Bridge, where the Ghana international made 23 outings during the 2015/16 campaign, but is now spending the next season on loan at Schalke.

Antonio Conte is reportedly happy to let the player leave, and was not going to stand in his way to stop the move, as Chelsea youngster Ola Aina is making a breakthrough under the Italian manager.
It’s expected that unless Baba can make a huge impact at Schalke, he could be sold onward next summer, as Chelsea are surely looking for new full-back options, with the Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez reportedly being one target for Conte.
