In the final round of fixtures before the international break, Chelsea welcome a Burnley side who are looking to rectify their mistakes in mid-week which saw The Clarets go out in the 2nd round of the EFL cup after Accrington Stanley scored in the last moments of added time to put the league 2 side through to the next round.
Despite the 100% record so far, Chelsea have looked far from convincing and could find it hard to take all 3 points from the newly promoted club. A lack of signings has left Conte in a position where 10 of his 11 starting XI was part of the team that saw Chelsea go from champions of England to mid-table mediocrity in the space of a year.
Although they were knocked out of the cup against League 2 opposition, The Clarets will look to continue their form in the league and cause the 2nd upset in the space of the week, to nullify the huge shock they received midweek. Shaun Dyche’s men will look to cause Chelsea’s already shaky defence huge problems and secure all 3 points in their long push for Premier League solidarity.
