Chelsea agree Brozovic fee

With the transfer window days away from its conclusion, could Chelsea be about to make their fourth signing of the summer in Inter Milan’s Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic?

Days after confirming the move for Sporting’s Joao Mario, Inter Milan are looking to offload Brozovic and have reportedly accepted an offer of €25m (£21.6m) for the 23-year-old midfielder, Goal reports.

Chelsea are yet to agree personal terms with the Croatian, but sources close to the Milan based club and the player have told Goal that it’s ‘extremely’ likely that an agreement will be reached before Wednesday night.

Italian based website Gazzetta Dello Sport reported this morning that Fabregas could be used to sweeten the deal to acquire Brozovic this summer, but this will not be the case after the Spaniard released a statement on social media last night, making it clear that his future remains at Stamford Bridge.

Inter Milan are looking to raise fund to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) after completing the signing of Gabriel Barbosa and Joao Mario in the past seven days, and have so chosen to offload Brozovic.

The versatile midfielder has stated that he wishes to have a substantial pay rise if he was to move to Chelsea this week, but it’s very unlikely that his demands will be affected any deal from being completed.
