Marko Marin signs three-year deal with Olympiacos

143 minutes and five loans later, Marko Marin’s Chelsea career has come to a close as the defunct winger has signed for €3m on a three-year deal with Greek giants Olympiacos, according to The Daily Mail.

Coming to Chelsea in 2012 for a fee of £8 million, Marin had high expectations placed on him with the speedy German winger drawing comparisons to Messi’s play style during his time with Werder Bremen.

During his four years with Chelsea, Marin struggled to get on the team sheet, but did score a goal, as he got on the scoresheet in Chelsea 4-1 win over Wigan in 2012.

Marin, 27, is still young and now has an opportunity to continue his career in Greece under Paulo Bento.
