Milan could return Pasalic to Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic could return to England from his loan out at Milan, as the youngster is failing to get any playing time on his current spell with the Italian side.

Pasalic only arrived as a deadline day signing, completing a dry one-season loan to Italy as he is currently in no position to get a shot under Vincenzo Montella.

The Milan manager has given Pasalic no appearance in the league whatsoever, as the Croatian midfielder’s only outing for the club this season was in a friendly against Bournemouth, where he failed to make an impression.

According to Football Italia, the player has dropped down to the bottom of Montella’s hierarchy, as even teenager Manuel Locatelli has surpassed him.

Andrea Bertolacci and Mati Fernandez who are injured at the moment, will also be making Pasalic’s life even harder once they return.

Due to various injury problems, Pasalic hasn’t played in a competitive game since February, and could really use a new location for a fresh loan deal, to get back on his level.
