Chelsea to move for PSG midfielder in January

According to an exclusive claiming from the French media outlet GFFN, Chelsea are ready to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore in this January’s transfer window.

The Argentine playmaker has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League as well, but the chances of him ending up at the English top-flight campaign have only got stronger recently.

Pastore has become one of the new PSG boss Unai Emery’s fringe players, and is hoping to continue his career elsewhere, with the newspaper stating that a transfer bid is bound to be submitted.

Apart from Eden Hazard, Chelsea are really in need of a world-class, creative type of a player, and the Blues boss Antonio Conte could find the perfect fit from Pastore to his new system.

Midfielders Oscar, Willian and Pedro haven’t exactly fulfilled the expectations at Stamford Bridge, and players like Victor Moses have returned from the unknown to play for Conte’s first-team.

The Nigerian has become a vital part of Chelsea’s system, but he’s set to miss some games in winter due to the African Cup of Nations – which only sets the order of importance higher considering a new midfielder.

PSG paid €42m for the 27-year-old back in 2011 when they acquired him from Serie A side Palermo, and will be hoping to recoup most of the amount back with the transfer.
