Antoine Griezmann provides a significant update on his future

Antoine Griezmann has provided a significant update on his future amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, report the Daily Star.

The Daily Star report that the Atletico Madrid forward has been attracting interest from both Antonio Conte’s Chelsea and Jose Mourinho’s Man United as the managers look to strengthen their respective squads.

However, the Frenchman is quoted by the Daily Star revealing how happy he is with life at the Vicente Calderon: “I love playing for Atletico and I do not think I need to move to reach the next level.”

Griezmann has directly contributed to ten goals in 11 games in La Liga so far this campaign, having scored six and provided the assist for four more. It comes as no surprise to hear that the Premier League giants are keen on securing his signature.

Diego Costa has been in inspired form for Chelsea so far this campaign, having already scored ten league goals. Griezmann can play out wide, so perhaps Conte would field him on the right-hand-side of the attack. The prospect of a front-line consisting of Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann is utterly mouthwatering.

For now, however, it appears that he will be staying put.
