Moses celebrates scoring for Chelsea

Barcelona plotting surprise move for Chelsea wing-back

Through the months, Antonio Conte has brought new faces to Chelsea’s starting eleven, with one coming all the way back from Wigan in 2012. That’s when he first was signed by the Blues, as Victor Moses, who soon became a forgotten man for most Chelsea fans due to three dull loan spells at West Ham, Stoke City and Liverpool.

However, the Italian has rejuvenated the Nigerian international with some style, making him one of the best wing-backs in the league this season. Moses’s great performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and he’s now being linked with a move to FC Barcelona, according to Spanish football website Sport.

The La Liga giants are desperately looking for a new right-back to their team, and after their man target Hector Bellerin extended his contract with Arsenal, all sorts of options are being listed at Camp Nou. Even Chelsea’s 31-year-old right-back Branislav Ivanovic has been mentioned in the speculation.

According to the same source, Barcelona have been intensively following Moses in his new role, which seems to fit him ‘like a glove’. Once the January window’s opening comes closer, a big-money offer for the 25-year-old could be waiting for a reply on Conte’s desk.
