Chelsea backed as joint title favourites by Gary Neville

Gary Neville has backed Chelsea as joint title favourites along with Liverpool, report Metro.

When asked by Metro who he thought were most likely to be triumphant this campaign, Neville revealed: “At the moment Chelsea and Liverpool.”

The Blues started the campaign strongly, but endured somewhat of a wobble and went three games without a win. Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation in hope of changing his side’s fortunes – and it has worked a treat.

Chelsea have won all of their last five games, scoring 16 goals and conceding none. Our electric form has got us right back into contention at the top of the table, as we sit just one point behind leaders Liverpool.

After Guus Hiddink steered us clear of relegation and into tenth place, few would have imagined that we would mount a genuine title challenge this season.

It is still very much early days, but if we continue to perform as we have in recent games, few could deny that we have the credentials to go all the way this year.
