Eden Hazard has been the top performer in Europe’s top five leagues so far this season, according to Squawka.
Hazard has accumulated a Squawka Performance Score of 697 this campaign, 114 points higher than his nearest challenger Philippe Coutinho, who has appeared in an equal number of games.
Hazard has scored 7 goals in his opening 11 appearances in the Premier League so far this campaign. If he stays injury and suspension free and continues scoring at his current rate, he will finish the season with 26 league goals.
His previous best in England was 14 goals, he is well on track to beat that. Antonio Conte has handed the Belgian more freedom than he was ever allowed under the management of Jose Mourinho, and he is playing better than ever.
Perhaps Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has also been giving him some advice in Belgium national team training. Hazard has been both mercurial and efficient in front of goal this season, one could say his performances have been Henry-esque.
