Chelsea remain top of the Premier League table after defeating Tottenham 2-1 on Saturday evening.
Our recent run of good form has fired us from crisis at the Emirates to title favourites. Seven games, seven wins, 17 goals and just the one conceded – surely that incredible performance level cannot continue?
Well, it just might. Our upcoming fixtures, on paper, look to be an opportunity to collate plenty more points and extend our lead at the top over the Christmas period.
Next weekend we visit the Etihad, in what will likely prove to be the toughest test of our credentials yet. After that, however, our next five games all look winnable.
Chelsea’s next six games: Manchester City (A), West Brom (H), Sunderland (A), Crystal Palace (A), Bournemouth (H), Stoke City (H).
Unfortunately, football is not played on paper, so there may well be a banana skin among those. If we continue to play the way we have in our last seven, though, we could well be storming away at the top when the new year comes around.
