Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj has played down reports linking him with a move to Chelsea, report Goal.
When quizzed about the possibility of moving to Stamford Bridge, Goal quote Badelj in saying:Â “I feel bored talking about it.”
The Croatian was insistent that he would see out the remainder of his contract at the Italian side: “I still have one-and-a-half years left on my contract with Fiorentina – why wouldn’t I stay here until the end?”
Goal claim that Antonio Conte is a big fan of Badelj, but he will face competition from AC Milan, who submitted a £16 million bid in the summer which was turned down by the side nicknamed Viola.
It is also suggested by Goal that Fiorentina could cash-in on Badelj in order to make a profit on the midfielder. That would likely be a more preferable option than seeing him leave on a free transfer at the end of his current deal.
Chelsea could be in the market for a midfielder in the winter window with question marks being raised over the futures of Cesc Fabregas and John Obi Mikel. It doesn’t appear that Badelj would be interested in a move to West London, however.
