Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has today confirmed that John Terry will be ruled out for around two to three weeks due to a muscular injury, the club’s official website reports.
The Englishman picked up a gluteus injury when he was getting back on form with Chelsea’s Development Squad on Monday afternoon alongside other senior team stars Michy Batshuayi and Cesc Fabregas.
The Blues skipper will miss tomorrow’s London derby against Tottenham, when Conte’s side face a real test from Mauricio Pochettino’s side after six consecutive Premier League victories without conceding a single goal.
On his pre-match interview, the Italian also told that Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is unavailable tomorrow due to an injury, while Willian returns to team selection after issues with his fitness.
Apart from Terry and Mikel all Chelsea players are expected to be fit to play, with Kurt Zouma inherently still recovering from his ACL tear which has kept the Frenchman out of first-team action since February.
