Just one Chelsea player nominated for PFA Fans’ Player of the Month despite historic achievements

Sky Sports have just announced the shortlist for PFA Fans’ Plaayer of the Month – and there’s just one Chelsea player on there.

The shortlist, visible here, is compiled by their self-described “expert panel” and has revelation wing-back Victor Moses listed; but no other Blues players have made the cut.

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, not to mention David Luiz and Pedro, have all been bumped off the list by the likes of Nordin Ambrabat and Matt Phillips.

While we accept that the whole list can’t be Chelsea players, it seems a little harsh that no room could be found for a second, given we’ve had about as good a month as any team in Premier League history has had.

Fortunately the actual winner is decided by public vote, which means our boy Victor should come home with the award without issues. In fact, chances are he’ll get more votes than the rest of the shortlist combined. That would certainly make the glaring omissions hurt a little less.
