Marcos Alonso has spoken to Chelsea TV about the possibility of winning the Premier League title, report Sky Sports.
Alonso moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in the summer and has taken to the left-wing-back role in Antonio Conte’s defence like a fish to water.
The performances of our defenders have played a considerable role in taking us to the top of the Premier League title. Sky Sports quote Chelsea TV who quizzed the Spaniard about Chelsea’s chances of becoming champions this campaign: “We’ve got to go game by game and we will see at the end of the season.”
Chelsea have won seven Premier League games in a row, scoring 17 and conceding just once. Alonso believes that if we continue to play this way, the good results will continue to come: “But if we’re still playing this way, with this passion, with this energy, it’s going to be tough to beat us.”
Alonso will also be hoping that his personal good form continues. He has been both reliable in defence and a danger in attack for the Blues. Could he become a Premier League champion in his debut season at the Bridge?
