Mixed emotions about the potential departure of Oscar

It looks as though Oscar will finally be on his way from Stamford Bridge. The Brazilian, who hasn’t started a league game in two months, has now been strongly linked with a move to Inter in the Sun.

These links have been made before – with Juventus in particular – but these seem more credible. Oscar has been out of the team for a while, and doesn’t look like he will be getting back into it anytime soon. He doesn’t really fit into the 343 system, and this seems like a good time to cut the cord on the Brazilian.

The 25 year old has frustrated Chelsea fans ever since his arrival. He has shown plenty of times that he can be a top quality player, with great technique and work rate, but all too often has disappointed in his return of goals and assists. A move to Serie A has always seemed like it would suit the former Internacional man’s style.

Some Blues fans will be disappointed, but as long as the money is spent wisely in replacing him with a player who suits our new system, it seems like a positive move for all involved.
