According to reports in Italy, Serie A side Napoli are monitoring Chelsea center-back Kurt Zouma as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly.
If you thought we’d be talking about a transfer to some other club, you’re very wrong, as the Senegalese center-back will be spending January at the African Cup of Nations representing his country. Therefore, the Neapolitan are looking for a permanent back-up defender for the 25-year-old, and that, ladies and gentlemen, would be Zouma.

The 22-year-old suffered a nasty fall in February when the Blues hosted Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, and teared his ACL in his knee which ruled him out for over eight months. Now the young Frenchman has returned to the pitch, but only on U23 level, as he still looks to re-adapt to the attributes needed in the professional game.
Chelsea already rejected a season-long loan offer from Bundesliga side Schalke 04 at the start of the season, so unless many things have changed during that time, it’s unlikely that neither the club or the player fancy such move.
