Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has praised Antonio Conte’s Chelsea ahead of the upcoming game between the two reports, report the Sunday Express.
Chelsea are top of the Premier League table after seven wins in a row. During that period, we have scored 17 goals and conceded just one.
The Sunday Express quote Guardiola who brands our recent form ‘amazing’: “In the last five or six weeks they have played amazing – not just clean sheets but the way they play.”
The Spaniard revealed that he will be spending the next week trying to figure out how his City side can be the first to beat Chelsea since our change to a 3-4-3 system: “We have to try and discover his (Conte’s) secret and what we can do to beat him.”
Though still early in the Premier League season, this game has all the makings of a six-pointer in the title race. Chelsea are the league leaders, but City trail by just a point.
If Guardiola can figure out how to stop the Chelsea bandwagon next weekend, it may cause the wheels to fall off and the Blues’ good form to stall.
