West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is reportedly keen to bring in Chelsea keeper Asmir Begovic after dropping the number one choice Adrian following a big pile of mistakes last week, ESPN reports.
The East London side haven’t enjoyed the best season possible, as defensive problems have left them hovering just above the relegation zone. Bilic has tried many changes in the line-up, playing Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph between the sticks for the past two games in hope of turning things around.
Sources from ESPN claim Chelsea’s Begovic to top the short-list for a new keeper, as he has a solid amount of Premier League experience and is currently in need of more first-team action.
Belgium international Thibaut Courtois has started every game in the Premier League under Antonio Conte, and is in spectacular form conceding just one goal in the last seven league games for Chelsea. Last time Begovic made an outing for the Blues was in the Blues’s 2-1 defeat on the fourth round of the EFL Cup against The Hammers five weeks ago, and could therefore be interested in a move as soon as possible.
Should the Bosnia and Herzegovina international leave, Chelsea still have an equally-rated keeper available in Eduardo, who signed for the Blues this summer from Dinamo Zagreb.
