Thibaut Courtois did some amazing job last night when he helped Chelsea into a crucial 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
The Belgium international managed to keep his ninth clean sheet in the Premier League this season after two brilliant game-changing saves. He first pulled off an outstanding foot-save to deny Adnan Januzaj inside the Chelsea box, and his second stop was even better.
With the last corner of the game, ex-Chelsea man Patrick Van Aanholt struck a beautiful half-volley towards the top bin from a cleared ball, and was already set for a celebrating run before he saw that the Blues keeper actually was able to save that.
After the match he was interviewed and explained how staying warm throughout the match and even the half-time break helped him to make the last-gasp stop and help the team to the victory.
I always try to stay 100 per cent concentrated.
It was cold as well so at half time I went out with the goalkeeper trainer just to stay warm again.
I think when it’s summer weather or not cold you can stay warm no problem.
But when it’s cold like this it’s good to keep yourself warm so you can be busy with your hands.
It proved to be good because early in the second half I made a good save and then in the last minute as well so it’s really good.

The 24-year-old shot stopper has received some criticism and hate form the fans in the past months for all the rumours linking him to a move back to Spain. But I’m sure that a cleansheet run like this will win back the faith of the fans!
