Chinese club ready to meet £130m asking price for Diego Costa

There doesn’t seem to be an end for Diego Costa’s transfer saga, as he’s pretty much tied to make a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

With China as his most likely destination, Chelsea have decided to set a ridiculous £130m transfer fee for the Spanish attacker, and what’s even more amusing, is the fact that the staggering price could actually be paid by the unnamed club somewhere in the Far East, The Sunday Times reports.

Should such deal happen, the transfer fee would be the highest ever paid for a player in the history of football.

Costa injured his back last week which ruled him out of the Leicester clash on the weekend, but it’s believed that an offer worth £30m-a-year from China resulted a bust-up with the Italian tactician, which left the 29-year-old’s future at West London dubious.

The two Blues men have now settled their dispute and the Spaniard is looking to stay at the club for the remainder of the season, but since the constant speculation linking the league’s joint leading goalscorer to an exit from the club, Roman Abramovich and Conte will have to stay one step ahead of the player’s next move.
