Reports in Spanish paper Marca have linked Diego Costa with a move to China.
According to the Spanish press, the Brazilian striker is being targeted for a staggering €90m offer by Tianjin Quanjian, whose manager Fabio Cannavaro wants to replace Luis Fabiano up front.
In reality, it is very difficult to put a valuation on a top Premier League striker like Costa. Even €90m would seem a little cheap given that Chelsea would have to spend at least that much to try and replace the former Atletico man – and even then there would be no guarantees they would be getting a player anywhere near his level.
Costa may be tempted by the money on offer in the Far East, but if the board at Stamford Bridge realise what they are dealing with they will put a new contract on the table that will be impossible for the 28 year old to turn down.
