Chelsea will be a well-waited guest under the great Anfield lights tonight, as the Blues face their bitter(ish) Premier League rivals Liverpool away tonight.
The game could mean the title for Chelsea, as Liverpool are one of the main challengers in the league title race, and it sure would be a job well done should we eliminate their chances tonight. Arsenal are still hanging in there, close, but they’ll be our next mission this Saturday.
Antonio Conte hasn’t made a shocking change to the Blues line-up today, as he prefers to go with the same, safe and secure tactic that has won us a big percentage of games this term.
Thibaut Courtois starts between the sticks, having the great back-three of David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill (today’s skipper) in front of him from the beginning.
In midfield, wing-backs Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso look to keep up their impressive performances in these very important roles, and Nemanja Matic partners N’Golo Kante in the center. Cesc Fabregas has put in some great efforts in the past few weeks, but in a big game like this it’s the natural choice to go for a more defensive set-up.
Willian takes the right winger’s position in the three-tip attack alongside goal machine Diego Costa and flying frontman Eden Hazard.
Here are the full team line-ups…
