Antonio Conte has revealed Diego Costa’s plans for the future at Chelsea, stating that the player will be staying with the team ‘for a long time’ as he ‘loves the club’.
The Blues striker was the target of a huge scandal last month following a bust-up with the Italian tactician over his fitness to face Leicester City and a reported big-money offer from China.
Costa was left out of the matchday squad for the trip to King Power Stadium, but he was the main talking point in the press conference after the game.
With the speculation finally cooling down, Conte has made it clear that the 29-year-old striker is and will remain as a happy Chelsea player ready to give his everything for the club this term.

The situation is very clear. He’s very happy to stay, and very happy to fight for the title.

Chelsea will be facing Burnley this Sunday with a chance to move higher up the table, as they’re currently running away the rest of the table with a nine point lead.
