Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has returned to Cobham from Bristol City for treatment to heal from his thigh injury suffered in the team’s last game against Leeds United last week, Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has confirmed.
Abraham has been in fine form this season for his loan side, bagging an astonishing 21 goals in 38 appearances for the Robins, but it hasn’t been enough to save them from their poor position close to the bottom three of the league table.
Bristol City are currently hovering just above the relegation zone with 32 points – just two points higher than Wigan Athletic right behind them – and Johnson states how important it would be to have the 19-year-old back from Chelsea as soon as possible, as they’re set to face in-form Fulham in their upcoming Championship fixture tomorrow evening.

Chelsea are taking care of Tammy at the moment. We’ll get him back here in a week to ten days.

Abraham’s clinical finishing this term could lead to a loan deal at a Premier League side next season, or even a place in the Chelsea first-team if things fall into their places.
