Chelsea have been linked with a shock move for Tottenham’s summer transfer flop Moussa Sissoko.
Perhaps the Spanish media – who calciomercato cite as the source of the rumour – haven’t been paying much attention to the Premier League this season, but Sissoko has been considered one of the worse signings of recent years, unable to break into the Spurs team and looking lost whenever he does make the pitch.
Even the knockdown price of £12-18 million being mentioned seems excessive when you consider the options Chelsea already have in the middle of the pitch.
The only thing more unlikely than Chelsea wanting to spend that kind of money on a certified Spurs flop is the other assertion in the article that both AC and Inter Milan are also chasing the Frenchman. Given the season he’s had and the quality of midfield players that both Italian sides possess, that seems as unlikely as a move to Stamford Bridge.
