Antonio Conte has revealed he hasn’t planned anything specific to avoid Manchester United players from targeting Eden Hazard ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
The 26-year-old Belgian winger has been in terrific form this season, and his display in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over the Red Devils in the reverse fixture proved how dangerous he is for the Blues.
In the team’s two meetings this season – which Chelsea have both won without conceding a single goal – Hazard has been fouled more than any other player, reflecting Jose Mourinho’s dirty tactics towards the flying forward.
In the pre-match interview Conte stated he hasn’t thought of anything different to protect the Belgian from tighter marking, as he relies on his previous tactics to do the trick once again.
“It’s very different to prepare for this situation but we are preparing the game on the tactical aspect.
We are trying to find the best solutions for this game because, don’t forget, this game will be very tough for both teams and the result is very important for us and United.
I didn’t prepare anything for this situation for Eden.”
