Blues confident of Schalke defender snubbing Liverpool for Chelsea move

Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton are all showing major interest on signing Schalke left-back Sead Kolasinac this summer, but Chelsea are confident of landing the Bosnian star ahead of their Premier League rivals, The Daily Mirror reports.

The 23-year-old’s performances for the German outfit have attracted a lot of interest from the rest of Europe, as his hard work-rate and strong pace and stamina can help the team both attacking-wise and defensively.

One might say his style of play resembles a lot of ex-Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic’s attributes – only that he’s a bit quicker and more eager to get forward.

Chelsea already tried to sign Kolasinac on the last week of January transfer window, but Schalke had to block the move as they couldn’t find a proper replacement in time.

Kolasinac has high salary demands and Everton have already offered him a lucrative £100,000-a-week pay if the reports are to be believed, meaning Chelsea would have to top that offer should they put all the effort on signing him this summer.
