Chelsea have been performing above expectations this season, and there’s one man who deserves the most of the well-earned praise – Antonio Conte.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via Metro), the Blues boss has made a huge step toward to signing a contract extension with the West London side, as he told after Chelsea’s victory over Manchester City last Wednesday that he wants to build ‘something important’ at the club next season.

The 47-year-old master of football tactics has definitely earned himself a new deal. His recent success has also alerted Italian clubs like Inter Milan and Juventus offering him a chance to return to his native country.
However, the speculation would be fully shut down if the former Azzurri boss put the pen on a paper this summer.
Conte reportedly has an excellent relationship with the club owner Roman Abramovich, and the Russian multimillionaire has promised the manager a hefty amount of money to spend this summer, as the club is set to bolster their first-team squad ahead of their return to the European Elite competition.
The club will also be hoping to tie down the club’s star players Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who have all been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
