Chelsea’s £51m bid for Serie A star rejected

Chelsea have reportedly had their opening bid worth around £51m for Torino striker Andrea Belotti rejected by the club, Daily Mirror suggests.

The 23-year-old Italian has netted 24 goals in the Serie A this season and 29 in all competitions, attracting interest from several big sides in Europe, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City all targeting him from the Premier League.

Andrea Belotti has also broke into Italy's national team.

Chelsea also have Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez high on their shortlist, but Pep Guardiola’s Man City are hopeful of beating the Blues on the signing of the 29-year-old forward.

Therefore Antonio Conte has turned his sights on alternatives with Belotti one of the big names amongst the rest of the transfer targets.

Chelsea made an offer of €60m (£51m) for the player with €40m of bonuses included, but Torino believe the sum is too low with the club’s chairman Urbano Cairo believing that he’s worth as much as €150m to start with.
