According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not a fan of his club signing big name forwards such as Eden Hazard or Antoine Griezmann, as he’s afraid of them being a danger towards his position in the team’s starting eleven.
The Spanish giants have been tracking the Blues winger for a few years now and are prepared to make a world-record bid of £100m for him this summer, but might want to think again following Ronaldo’s warning for the club chairman Florentino Perez, who often handles the arrivals of new signings.
Ronaldo is reportedly ready to leave the club should the La Liga leaders sign Hazard from Chelsea this summer.
The four-time winner of the Ballon D’Or is not prepared to ‘share his crown’ at Santiago Bernabeu, but is open for the club to sign lower-profile names such as Ousmane Dembele, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Paulo Dybala.
We’d agree with Ronaldo that Hazard could certainly be a threat for his leading role at Real Madrid, and wouldn’t mind either if Real let our star man alone and settle to see him signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
